Model SHS-PFT-30
A portable trolley that filters new oil before it goes into a machine and cleans oil already in service — 28 lpm through a 10 µm spin-on element, run by one person from any 415 V plant socket.
What it does
Oil delivered in a drum is typically no cleaner than ISO 20/18/15 — worse than most pumps and valves in a normal hydraulic system will tolerate. Contamination is picked up during blending, handling, storage and decanting. The PFT-30 lets one person filter that oil into the reservoir instead of pouring it in, and clean the oil already in a machine without draining it.
A gear pump draws oil through a Y-type strainer and delivers it through a spin-on filter element. A check valve across the filter opens if the element blocks, protecting both the element and the pump.

The model designation refers to the nominal frame and pump size, not to delivered flow. Ratings are not duties — the unit works at 2 to 5 bar; the 10 bar figure is the rating of the machine as supplied, set by the PVC hoses.
Why this build
Changed by hand in under a minute — no tools, no open housing, no spillage. Shorter maintenance stops.
Flow bypasses a blocked element at 5 bar instead of collapsing it, so the element can't rupture and shed debris into clean oil.
Coarse debris is stopped before it reaches the pump — longer pump life, fewer breakdowns.
Element condition is read at a glance while the unit runs, so elements are changed when actually blocked, not on a guess.
Tips and moves like a sack barrow on 10-inch wheels — one-person operation, no lifting tackle.
Reaches a drum on the floor and a reservoir across the bay; the unit stays put while the operator works both ends.
Performance
Component makers set a cleanliness level for their products. Compare it with the oil you are actually putting in — new drum oil is typically ISO 20/18/15.
| Component | ISO 4406 |
|---|---|
| Servo valves | 16/14/11 |
| Proportional valves | 17/15/12 |
| Piston & vane pumps | 18/16/13 |
| Directional & pressure valves | 18/16/13 |
| Gear pumps & motors | 19/17/14 |
| Cylinders & flow controls | 20/18/15 |
| New oil, as delivered in the drum | 20/18/15 |
| Reservoir | One pass | Seven passes |
|---|---|---|
| 200 litre | 7 min | 50 min |
| 400 litre | 14 min | 1 h 40 min |
| 800 litre | 29 min | 3 h 20 min |
Seven passes is the usual figure for a noticeable improvement. A 10 µm element typically improves cleanliness by three to four ISO codes over repeated passes — enough to bring new drum oil into range for gear, piston and vane pumps, directional and pressure valves and cylinders. Servo/proportional systems need finer, two-stage filtration.
How to order
Select one symbol from each box. Example: PFT30-10Q-N-S — 28 lpm trolley, 10 µm element, nitrile seals, standard hose set.
| Model | PFT30 — 28 lpm |
|---|---|
| Element | 10Q — 10 µm · 25Q — 25 µm |
| Seal | N — nitrile · V — fluorocarbon |
| Hose set | S — 5 m suction, 10 m delivery · X — special |
Every unit is built for 415 V, 3 phase, 50 Hz. Marine, four-wheel and other special executions are engineered to order.

Questions
10 µm spin-on element as standard, 25 µm to order. A 10 µm element typically improves oil cleanliness by three to four ISO 4406 codes over repeated passes.
At 28 lpm, one pass of a 200 litre reservoir is about 7 minutes and seven passes about 50 minutes; a 400 litre reservoir is about 14 minutes per pass. Seven passes is the usual working figure.
Yes — that's a primary use. New drum oil is typically ISO 20/18/15, dirtier than most components tolerate. Filter it into the reservoir rather than pouring it in.
415 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz with a DOL starter, 20 m cable and a 4-pin plug — it runs from a normal plant socket, no transformer.
Those need finer, two-stage filtration. For that duty — and for flushing new pipework — see our flushing trolley range.
